Custom teak accessories
Anything in teak that goes on a boat, made to your drawings.
01
Swim platforms and bathing ladders

The most used teak on the boat, and the piece that spends the most time wet. We make platforms and ladder treads to the existing frame, or to a new one, with the plank run set to carry the line of the deck rather than the outline of the platform.
Grip matters more here than anywhere else, so the seam spacing and the final pass are chosen for a wet foot rather than for a photograph.
02
Cockpit tables and seating

Tables have to hold furniture tolerances in marine conditions, which is why so many of them come apart. We build them the way a deck is built (planks and seams over a stable substrate, sealed at every edge) rather than as joinery that happens to live outside.
Folding, fixed, on a pedestal or hinged off a bulkhead: the mechanism is usually yours, and we make the top to fit it.
A table can be solid timber or veneer with a teak finish, in teak, mahogany or the timber of your choice, and finished in matt or gloss varnish.
03
Passerelles and gangways
A passerelle is structural before it is decorative. Ours are made to the load and the span the vessel needs, with the teak surface treated as wearing material over a core that carries the weight.
We work to the vessel’s own arrangement (where it stows, how it launches, what it lands on), because a passerelle that is beautiful and does not stow is a passerelle that stays ashore. Handrails and non-slip detailing are specified with it, not added afterwards.
04
Hatch covers, gratings and trim

The small work: gratings for cockpit soles and shower trays, hatch covers, cap rails, hand rails, toe rails, and the trim that ties a refit together.
None of it is standard. Every piece is cut to a template or a drawing of that vessel, in the same teak and to the same seam specification as the deck, so a piece made years later still matches. This is most of what a refit yard actually orders from us.
05
Made to your drawings
Send a drawing, a sketch with dimensions, or a template. All three work. What we cannot do is guess a shape from a photograph, and we would rather say that at the start than at the end.
For a one-off we quote from the drawing and confirm the geometry before cutting. For a repeat piece, such as a fleet’s worth of cockpit tables or a builder’s standard grating, we make one, you approve it, and the rest come off the same programme.
Everything is made in our own workshop, in the same FSC certified teak as the decks. An accessory ordered with a deck matches it, and one ordered five years later still does.
