Teak deck installation
Our team installs the panels we build, or supplies them for your yard to fit.
01
Where we install
We install in Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, France and Greece, and anywhere else in Europe. We can build the panels and ship them, or come to the vessel and fit them ourselves. The panels are built and finished in Zagreb, so what travels to the boat is a set of finished panels and a fitting team, not a workshop.
That matters more than it sounds. A deck caulked and sanded in controlled conditions does not depend on the weather at the yard, and the work on board becomes bonding, trimming and final detail rather than weeks of dust over an open boat.
If your vessel lies further afield, we still supply. A yard anywhere can fit our panels to the bonding specification that ships with them. That is what the prefabricated route is for.

The installation process
Surface preparation and moisture check
The substrate is ground back to sound material and checked for moisture before anything is bonded. Bonding onto a wet or contaminated deck is the most common reason a new deck fails early. If the reading is wrong we stop and dry it rather than work around it.
Bonding the panels
Panels are dry-fitted first, then bonded down under weight so the adhesive bed is even across the whole panel. We bond with a two-part marine epoxy or an MS polymer, depending on how the deck is fitted and the conditions on board. Where a deck is bonded rather than screwed, nothing is fastened through the planks that can leak later.
Caulking and final sanding
Seams are caulked with TDS or Zetamarine, in black, grey or white, left to cure, then sanded flat. On a prefabricated deck most of that is already done in the workshop. On board it is the joins, the margins and the final pass that make the deck read as one surface.

Our team, or your yard

Both routes end with the same deck. The difference is who is standing on it, and what that does to the cost and the schedule.
Our team on board
We bring the fitting crew and the deck arrives as one job, with a single point of responsibility: if a panel does not sit, the people who made it are the people adjusting it. This is the usual choice for refits, for complex geometry, and for owners who would rather not coordinate two suppliers.
Your yard, our panels
You take delivery of finished panels and the bonding specification, and your own team fits them. Cheaper, and often faster, because no crew travels to you. It works where the yard has done bonded decking before and the substrate is already known to be sound.
04
What sets the time on board
Fitting time depends on the substrate, not on the teak. On a sound deck, bonding a prefabricated set is the short part of the job, because the caulking and the first sanding have already happened in the workshop.
A full replacement is a different job. Removal, substrate assessment and repair come first, and those are the parts that decide the schedule.
We plan the schedule with you at quote and revise it once, after the deck is open and we can see what is underneath. Any date given before that is a guess.

What we need from you before we start
- Vessel make, model and year.
- Deck area in square metres, or the drawings if you have them.
- Photographs of the current deck, including any soft or lifting areas.
- Where the vessel will be, and when it is out of the water.
- Whether your yard will fit the panels or you want our team on board.
